Mary Dees MSc, CTA(P)

UKCP Registered psychotherapist

About me

I have been working as a psychotherapist since 2011 and outdoors since 2016. My main modality is Transactional Analysis but I also use relational psychotherapy, body psychotherapy, eco-therapy and gestalt. I use these therapies in an integrative way, tailoring my approach to the needs of each individual or group.

I also have a deep connection to the natural world and have spent 37 years in the environmental movement (as an activist, scientist, consultant, trainer, and psychotherapist).

My background is in environmental science and training/facilitation, with a Master’s Degree in Environmental Policy. I still run organisational learning programmes, including Strategic Climate Change/Net Zero Programmes for NHS leaders. I am also part of the Transition movement in New Mills (Transition groups are active at the community level working towards a low-carbon, socially just future).
